Charlie Crist Fundraising For Allen West Challenger

Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist (D-Scott Rothstein) has taken a real liking to the diminutive Patrick Murphy(D-Wee). Murphy is Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Out Of Touch) hand picked challenger to Congressman Allen West.

Crist is begging for money in this email sent on Murphy’s behalf. Lots of baloney about divisive politics, etc. Enjoy:

“In this age of extremist politics, being willing to work with the other side is too often labeled a sign of weakness.

It’s just wrong.

Bipartisanship, and a willingness to sit down and negotiate with those who have opposing views, is an essential strength. It may have cost me some friends in the Republican Party, but I believe most Floridians feel that being moderate served to their benefit.

I’m supporting Patrick Murphy because he is exactly the kind of person we need in Washington: He is smart, likable, and an attentive listener who cares more about the substance of your positions rather than which side of the aisle you’re on.

Please help me support Patrick Murphy with his big end-of-quarter deadline this Sunday. Contribute here.

It’s just common sense:

America can’t afford to be so divisive and so divided. No matter where you work, disagreements are common. But it just stands to reason that you’re going to get less done in an environment of attacks and accusations and more done in an environment conducive to good working relationships and common goals.

Patrick Murphy is a consummate professional. He may not make headlines with outlandish statements, but he will certainly garner attention through actual accomplishments. He’ll be the kind of leader that helps bring people together on critical bills, essential to our recovery and growth.

Let’s put the right kind of personality in Washington. Help me support Patrick Murphy today.

Thank you for your help,

Gov. Charlie Crist”
