It this just a “support a fellow Democrat thing” instead of doing the right thing? Are Democrats worried Governor Rick Scott will appoint a right-winger?

Don’t principles matter? Can’t someone muster a public word saying Murray’s words were disgusting? That her apology was lame? You don’t have to call for her ouster. Just do the right thing. Stop listening to your advisors and party hacks. The schoolkids are listening. They are the only ones that matter.
