Social media posts show local socialist groups are leading trans protests at Florida Board of Health meeting in Dania Beach. The Friday morning meeting of the Board of Health will tackle the issue of gender reassignment procedures and surgeries for Florida minors. Members of the Young Democratic Socialists of America from across Florida gathered in Dania Beach to protest.

LGBTQ orgs are holding a press conference in Fort Lauderdale outside of the FL Board of Medicine hearing, where they are deliberating rules to ban gender-affirming healthcare for trans minors.

In addition to attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and concerned parents, the protesters are targeting reporters covering the meeting. One social media post warns protesters to avoid a Newsmax “reporter” who is “lurking” outside the meeting.
