In a surprise to no one, controversial Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness is set to announce his bid to replace Alcee Hastings in the U.S. House of Representatives. Breathless text message about the announcement have flooded politicos’ phones all afternoon. Holness will be joined by some of Hastings’ children at the announcement.

Today, April 12th at 7PM, I am very grateful to announce that I will be joined by Dr. Alcee L. Hastings II and community leaders at 4325 W Sunrise Blvd. in Plantation, FL to determine my candidacy for Florida’s 20th Congressional District, which was held by my dear friend, Congressman Alcee Hastings.
