Jeff Bell the head of the deputies union here in Broward County was suspended after he went after Sheriff Tony for protective gear for the BSO deputies. As Sheriff, I will protect our deputies and not turn my back on them Both the State Deputies Union and the Broward County Deputies unions know and understand that. I will fight for my officers, I will have their backs. It is time to have a real Sheriff in Broward County!
The most important part of that suspension is that he has now shut him up. He now can only discuss this issue with his attorney. Bell is no longer able to perform his duty as a union rep. We smell a big lawsuit down the road.
