MoveOn.org Wants Clear Channel To Cancel Rush Limbaugh

George Soros’ favorite leftist group, MoveOn.org wants Rush Limbaugh to join the millions left jobless during the Obama administration. They are sending this email to members urging them to sign a petition calling for radio giant Clear Channel to drop the Rush Limbaugh program.

“Dear MoveOn member,

Rush Limbaugh has gone too far with his attacks on Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke, calling her a ‘slut’ and a ‘prostitute’ and suggesting she post video tapes of herself online having sex.

Rush Limbaugh’s radio show is a part of the Clear Channel lineup, and it’s time that they no longer allow Rush Limbaugh to spew hateful and derogatory comments. That’s why I created a petition to Clear Channel on SignOn.org, which says:

Sandra Fluke, a law student at Georgetown University who was advocating for health insurance plans to cover the cost of contraception, became the target of a series of attacks by Rush Limbaugh. Besides calling her a ‘slut,’ he also called her a ‘prostitute,’ said that he wanted her to make sex tapes and post them online, and speculated that she only had a problem paying for contraception because she was having ‘so much sex.’ We who support Ms. Fluke find that this is a serious offense committed by Mr. Limbaugh, and we ask that his radio show be terminated.

Will you sign the petition? Click here to add your name, and then pass it along to your friends:”

Absolutely NEVER will we sign a petition against Rush Limbaugh. He MIGHT could have chosen more appropriate words, but his message came through loud and clear. Having sex is a choice, not a necessity. Participating parties should pay for protection against disease and pregnancy. Obviously, if you’re “doing it” for fun, sport or pleasure instead of love and procreation, you have a responsibility to yourself to prevent consequences.

Did you ever look up the uses of contraceptives? MANY uses have nothing to do with having sex or preventing pregnancy. Contraceptives are simply hormones that can prevent pregnancy, but that also can treat many problems such as ovarian cysts, and help prevent many serious diseases such as ovarian or uterine cancer. Disease, in this case, is not a consequence — it is, briefly, why one seeks health insurance coverage. This has nothing to do with “having fun.” Nor does using contraceptives within marriage to prevent pregnancies that aren’t wanted. It is probably the single greatest way to keep abortions to a minimum. Anyone as ill informed as Rush Limbaugh on this subject should simply shut up and read. Clearly he has done a disservice to you, his listener, not only by suggesting absolutely untrue things about contraceptives, but doing that in a way that attacks a private individual in a slanderous tirade. She was testifying not in her own behalf, but in behalf of a friend who had lost an ovary by not being able to receive timely treatment with therapeutic hormonal medications under her insurance coverage at Georgetown

This is pure trash. Move on as usual is doing there best to stop freedom of speech.

For my 2 cents she has damn lot of nerve asking my grandchildren who have morals to spend there money so she can have sex 666.67 times in four years . Number is by her stating that local prices for what she wants cost $9 per pill. In my opinion not being married but highly promiscuous in her talking. Is this what we want to teach our children that being promiscious should be paid for by us all??????????

Freida, you realize that there are medical conditions for which contraception is used that have nothing to do with sex?

Rep. Issa should subpoeana Fluke to follow up on her previous testimony. Among his follow ups should be:
    1) her age actually being 31 as opposed to the 23 she was represented as being
    2) the cost of $3,000 for contraception over the course of law school given that Walmart offers generics for $9 / month and the fact that there are 3 Planned Parenthood offices within walking distance of campus.
    3) the veracity of her actually having a “friend” who lost an ovary due to inaccessibility of contraceptives. Get the friends name and make her testify to this fact.
    4) her past history as a “reproductive rights” activist and her choice to attend Georgetown for the express purpose of making waves regarding their contraceptives coverage.

If any of her testimony doesn’t pan out, she needs to be prosecuted for perjury and the book thrown at her. Let’s give them a real lesson in the Chicago way.
