Scott Rothstein’s firm, RRA, gave a $200,000 check to the Florida Democratic Party. That’s not chump change. And don’t say Rothstein didn’t know; He knew all the numbers in that place.

The only Democratic contribution appears to be the $200,000 to the Florida Democratic Party. That’s one contribution.
Jeremy Ring, who is a Democrat (though he is the Republican’s favorite Democrat) received $1000, but returned $1500 (if you look at the negative signs). So he actually contributed to Rothstein, not received (confusing isn’t it).
The rest went Republican in the amount of $151,000 to a variety of Republican organizations.
So at best, Rothstein was an equal opportunity contributor, and this is only from the list you posted.
That’s my point-he was an equal opportunity scumbag. Plus, supporting Charlie Crist and John McCain hardly qualifies Scott for membership in the John Birch Society.
I see your point. Politics have no place for people that can support more than one party. Only one party can be right.
You are right however. He is a scumbag that was doing what business people do all the time, buying their influence by means of contributions so they will never be out of favor with whomever is elected. That is how they make money and carry influence. Some of them may lean to one party or the other, but most will at some point support people from both parties.
