St Pete Times reports rumors indicating Senator George Lemieux, a Broward resident, is set to join race to replace Senator Bill Nelson (D-Toast). The announcement is expected next week.
“Lemieux never completely concealed his desire to return to the Senate full-time and has spent the months since the November election assembling a team, lining up fundraising commitments and traveling the state. Tonight, according to Twitter, he was in one of the best named places in Florida — Sopchoppy — for the Wakulla County Ronald Reagan Black Tie & Blue Jeans Affair.”
I would vote for LeMieux over Rubio, but not necessarily over Nelson.
On top of that, if Republicans shut down the government, it will only make it worse for them.
I love the recent report about newly elected Tea Party Republicans that want to cut everything, except for those subsidizes they themselves get but don’t need, i.e., farm subsidizes. Kind of creates a conflict of interest for them.
I actually liked what LeMieux did in the senate. He’s probably the most capable of the bunch.
