At last week’s School Board meeting, members discussed an “early review” of Superintendent Jim Notter’s performance. Notter did not sound like a guy thinking about quitting. He talked about terms of his contract, his willinginess to play ball and mentioned his lawyer a few times.
At week’s end, a defiant Notter spoke at the Education Summitt like a man planning on sticking around; he even talked about teaching kids mandarin Chinese.
So what changed? Did the School Board offer a buyout? Did Tallahassee inspectors tell him it was time to go?
