The following was posted in The Daily Pulp:
“Yes, Plantation has a clear choice, but the Sun Sentinel’s choice is clearly wrong unless you want a “Tea Party” Republican who espouses Rick Scott’s values and wants to cut in order to create more unemployment which will continue to spiral down our economy. This is a person who wanted to reinstall the old Board of Directors of the Plantation Athletic League, a group of people who stole parents and kids money for their own personal use. This is a guy who picketed abortion clinics and a womens right to choose. This is a guy who never got involved in Plantation schools until he was going to run for Mayor. This is a guy who was against a holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. This is a guy who doesn’t believe in the separation of Church and State. This is a guy that gave a advisory board position to a former Councilman knowing that he had pleaded guilty to ethics violations. Sorry Sun-Sentinel….you need to do your due dilligence.
Personal Info:
Denise Horland
Plantation, Florida”
Gee, how horrible. Thanks to local school board muckraker, BROWARD CLEANSWEEP, Ms. Horland’s true identity may have been revealed:
“So, Denise Horland chimes in about Fadgen? Horland just a ‘concerned Plantation voter’? umm, nope. Horland is PTA president at Central Park Elementary. Fadgen’s opponent Diane Veltri Bendekovic is VERY well connected to school board. Maureen Dinnen wants her to be mayor—Mo gave her $200 big ones. Cowinky Dink? Not in Broward!”
Maybe Cleansweep has been reading RED BROWARD? A Google search will find Ms Horland playing this game in previous elections.
The School Board has been known to interfere in local races. Mutiple sources have tipped us off to dirty mailers been sent by a company run by a disgraced former Broward County Commissioner. Keep watching your mailboxes. Save those voicemails. Let’s expose the machine once and for all.

Horland’s husband is an appointed of Diane’s to park and rec board, she was Diane’s appointment to Census board they are long time friends and this just a warm up to what the Plantation machine has coming to your mailbox this weekend. right Tom?? Horland is what is wrong with Plantation and her husband should leave the park board. Oh by the way Ms Horland you are a gal who is all about the unions!!
I am not a Bendekovic fan, but her school board ties and allies don’t surprise me, nor do they bother me. I imagine there is focus on her school board connections just because of how crooked the school board is. But I think if the school board was walking the straight and narrow she would still have the same ties. She is/was a teacher and someone who has had eyes on politics, the school board connection seems like a no-brainer.
As far as some of Horland’s opinions. The MLK holiday is just another excuse for federal workers to have a day off at the taxpayer’s expense. How some liberals can turn absolutely any subject into a racial issue is beyond me.
If Fadgen has no children in the public school system, why would you expect him to take an interest in the Plantation schools? As Mayor he’ll be expected to be a liason for Plantation schools and the school board, but certainly not as a council person.
So, someone on the School Board of Broward strongly supporting a candidate doesn’t give you pause? the Grand Jury wished they had power to DISBAND the School Board. The Florida Department of Education wants to know what the hell is going on. One School Board member sits in Federal Prison. Another awaits trial. And you hope someone will fight for schools? It’s time to stop giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. The bad guys play us for fools. They hope we keep ignoring them. What is Diane’s position on Grand Jury report? What about Pete Tingom’s? We need to stop playing the fool.
With 30 years in the school system, she is bound to have some connections and history to someone. That one sentence can sum up how much I know about the whole situation.
Now if anyone, media outlet etc. would actually like to do some investigative reporting and provide some solid dealings that Bendekovic just happen to be in the right place at the right time on one too many occasions, I would certainly change my tune. In the meantime I am not going to play judge and jury because members of the school board support her.
