Eric Hammond is a Democrat( so says the list from Mitch Ceasar and the folks at the Broward DEC). So it should come as no surprise that he received contributions from local democrats.
But it’s shocking to see Washington DC heavyweights involved in Plantation politics. On January 10, 2011 Hammond reported a $500 contribution from the Millenium Leadership PAC ( P.O. Box 100277 Fort Lauderdale FL 33310). According to OpenSecrets.Org, Millenium Leadership PAC is closely tied to Congressman Alcee Hastings. This PAC contributed $1000 to Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-taxes) in 2010.

So much for all politics being local.

Be careful. Such examples work the other way too. Republicans and Democrats often draw from the same questionable pools.

Oh, don’t worry, I’m careful. Plus, the focus id on local races and issues. If you find a local example feel free to share. Write it up and I’ll post it.

That’s too easy. Let me just mention “Alan Mendelsohn” and “Rothstein.” Need I go further.
They gave to both sides, though primarily Republicans. There are plenty of others too. And that is only one of the reasons I am an Independent.

Don’t be lazy, list the contributions. Anyone who reads Bob Norman knows about Alan and Scott.
