SWBRO,Southwest Broward Republican Organization, held its monthly meeting Monday evening in Pembroke Pines. With nearly 40 Republicans in attendance (most were BREC members), SWBRO held elections for officers and members of the Board of Directors. Former School Board Member Kevin Tynan oversaw the election in which all positions were determined by unanimous voice votes.

Jay Narang, who recently ran for BREC chairman, was re-elected SWBRO president. Chris Ziadie, recent County Commission candidate, was elected Vice President.

Other notables in attendance were Cooper City’s John Simms and former Davie mayor Tom Truex. Truex ran for the BREC chairman’s post as well.

With the elections out of the way, the SWBRO turned its focus on upcoming elections; There will be an election this March in Miramar.

The SWBRO formed committees that should go along way in making Broward see Red.
