Two local high school girls basketball coaches are in the Broward County Jail following their arrest on Grand Theft and Fraud charges. The coaches are accused of using school property for private gain. Brenton Hankerson is a coach and administrator at Coral Springs High School. Henry McNabb is a coach at Blanche Ely High School.
Details on the charges are pending as of Thursday afternoon.
John Sullivan, Chief of Staff for the Broward School District, told REDBROWARD:
“Both employees in question were arrested by Broward Schools Police as part of an investigations into the improper use of district facilities for personal gain. The Superintendent maintains a zero-tolerance stance on public corruption, and both employees will be subject to termination.”
