Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer is running for U.S. Congress. He made the official announcement Thursday morning. Singer is seeking the Republican nomination for the CD 23 seat currently held by Democrat Jared Moskowitz.
Broward insiders see Singer as the immediate front runner for the nomination. As head of it’s Mayor’s Council, Singer is part of the influential America First Policy Institute (AFPI) which is closely aligned with President Donald Trump. Earlier this week, Singer attended a Hanukkah celebration at The White House.
Other Republican candidates include former CD 23 nominee Joe Kaufman and Fort Lauderdale attorney George Moraitis.
Here is Singer’s social media post announcing his run:
“It’s official: I’m running for Congress in FL’s 23rd district, where I grew up and have served as Boca Raton’s mayor for seven years.
As an America First conservative, I know this seat is critical to win a GOP House majority in November 2026. I will work to build on President @realDonaldTrump’s success to secure our borders, defend our nation, cut waste, and bring taxes and costs down for all Americans. Congress needs leaders with a record of real results, and I’ll work to deliver for our community.”
