UPDATE: A representative for Rod Velez tells REDBROWARD he was never served in this matter which explains his absence at today’s hearing.

According to courthouse sources, Rod Velez did not attend a Monday hearing before Broward Judge Fabienne Fahnestock. Velez was not represented by counsel. The case challenging his eligibility to hold office was brought by Marie Murray Martin.
