Broward County Commission visitor logs show State Representative Marty Kiar visiting Broward County Commissioner Ilene Lieberman (D-Don’t Steal My Mango) just hours before the commission voted on redistricting. A last minute map included Kiar’s precinct in district one sparking rumors Kiar would forget the Florida Senate and run for the commission instead.
The visitor logs clearly shows the reason for the visit was “redistricting”. Only in Broward.

So blatant !!!
But Lieberman voted against
No Lieberman voted for it. In fact she argued to put it in, and somehow it was instantly fine with Ritter (like she knew it before hand). Wonder if Kiar visited any other Commissioners to talk about the maps and was the source for out of the sunshine discussions between the Commissioners. Watch the tape.
Only Chip and Holness voted against it.
Lieberman voted against according to the minutes available online
I checked it and Jason is right in the minutes, but I need to watch the meeting again to make sure when they voted how it came down.
However, if you watch the meeting, Lieberman submitted right at the end a new map, which is posted, and with no public input. The hand drawn map was written specifically for Kiar, and it couldn’t pass cause it the district would be way too large. Then they worked out the Ritter-Lieberman-Jacobs Amendment. And then it appears she voted against her own agreed amendment.
All of the attached documents in the minutes shows a set up, and really says that they don’t care what the public says. It doesn’t make a different which party they are from, they thumbed their noses to everyone just to keep their own control.
The only reason I see that she voted against it was that since there were enough votes to pass it, and if it was considered some sort of conflict, by voting no, she is trying to protect herself from her own actions.
But it is clear what she arranged and what went down.
You need to post the original amendment by Lieberman to show what she was trying to do.
