Karen Harrington Fined By Federal Election Commission

Karen Harrington, a Republican candidate for US Congress CD 23, was fined $1,500 by the Federal Election Commission for failure to disclose all financial activity. Harrington, Gineen Bresso, Ozzie DeFaria, Juan Eliel Garcia and Joe Kaufman are vying for the GOP nomination. The winner will face Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Out Of Touch) in November.

The FEC found that in April abd July 2011, Harrington failed to disclose $223.75 in receipts, $5,421.92 in disbursements and $55,878.41 in additional debt.

    And if Karen Harrington will lie to us & the US Gov’t. now, what do you think she will do if she ever got to Congress..? We have got to make sure she doesn’t win! If Karen wins, Debbie holds her seat for two more years again. Deja vu from 2 years ago! I’m supporting Gineen Bresso, the only credentialed candidate in the race and certainly the ONLY true, Republican woman running! Vote for Gineen and help take our nation back from the Socialists!

      Mr. Garcia seems like a nice guy, but he has not been running the kind of primary campaign that would lead a reasonable person to conclude that he is anything close to an electable candidate.

      He raised less than $10,000 last quarter, and has less than $2000 cash on hand. That’s not even enough to win a competitive County Commission seat!

      Why does Mr. Garcia refuse to make a serious effort to raise the money necessary to get his campaign’s message out?

        @REC Member-The answer is simple…Mr. Garcia is a Democrat plant, inserted into the race in an attempt to prevent Mr. DeFaria & Ms. Bresso from securing the Hispanic vote, so Karen Harrington can win the primary and become the Republican nominee again. In doing so, Karen will again throw the race to Debbie & DWS will remain in office. Mr. Garcia only entered the race after Mr. DeFaria came in and Garcia had never been involved in politics before or a REC member, prior to this race. He stated twice at the Miami debate, a Republican event, that he agreed with President Obama. He is not a real Republican and history has shown that neither is Karen. Our party has been duped again and we can’t and shouldn’t stand for it! Bresso is clearly the most qualified candidate in this race and the only one who could potentially take out DWS. DeFaria is not the bad guy he has been portrayed to be, but he also isn’t viable against DWS due to all his baggage. Joe Kaufman, well, you only have to listen to him to know that he is passionate and means well, but he is not ready for Congress, never will be, and has no experience to make him even remotely qualified for such a seat. If we don’t get it right, Debbie Dem wins again. We must all band together and ensure that Bresso gets the nod and nomination or we will get what we deserve…More Debbie Downer!

        Excuse me, but money doesn’t win an election. Votes win an election, and to get votes you need someone who is sincere, cares about the district and always does what he promises. Juan Eliel is all of that, in addition to being the only candidate that is touch with the needs of the hispanic community- the votes that will ultimately win the election.

        He has been all over the place, actually spending time with people of the district instead of worrying about how much cash is in the bank account. If that’s what is important to you then go ahead and vote for one of the other crazy candidates.

        But for those who want positive change and want to defeat Debbie Wasserman Schultz,
        VOTE JUAN ELIEL FOR CONGRESS!

        @GatorHawk12…Where in the world do you get the idea that Mr. Garcia is a Democrat plant?! or that he wants Harrington in office, hello! he’s running against her. He is a conservative, and a Republican be all means in both values and ideas on how to run a county.
        You are right about one thing though, he is not politician. He is someone that joined the race because he passionate about our district and genuinely wants to make a positive change. I am no shill, I am someone that is excited to finally have a candidate that they believe in and trust to me our next Congressman.

        I will vote Juan Eliel Garcia for Congress and so should you.

    Wow… I’ve been traveling and am trying to catch up with all the district news… glad to see that Juan Eliel is making waves… when the opponents are willing to make up stories of him, it means they feel threatened… I love it!! How ironic, the “supposed” big wigs are nervous of the one that “refuses to make a serious effort to raise the money necessary to get his campaign’s message out” as one of the made up comments says.

    You wanna talk facts… how about the fact that Ms. Bresso sounds like a robot and cannot have an original speech, once she strays out of her pre-packaged speech she begins to have a Perry moment, like the one she had at the Tea Party debate.

    Newsflash!! Juan Eliel not only has the Hispanic vote, I know for a fact a lot of my Jewish friends will vote for him.

I met Juan, he is a nice guy, but he’s not experienced politically, not ready for prime time, and for sure guaranteed not to win! Hispanics in south Florida know better and we will vote Bresso por Congresso!
