Broward County Commissioner Stacy Ritter spent $5,000 on a comedian. No joke. In her latest (amended) financial report, Ritter lists a $5,000 expenditure on Stewie Stone, c/o the New York Friars club. Stone provided some laughs at Ritter’s King’s Point campaign kickoff.

For the period covering April-July, Ritter reports raising just over $12,000 while spending $20, 398.78.

    Typical, spend more than you take in, must be something that happens once you are elected. I”m thinking that the companies who supply the water in the water coolers for our government offices have teamed up and spiked the water.
